I reckon mid-summer is a challenging time to hunt the high country – the days are long and hot, water can be hard to find, and the animals hold tight for long periods.
On Monday morning, April 1, 1963, and with the Roar full on, Walter decided to retrace his steps and hunt back up on the bulky Ionia tops; while they would set out together, the intentions were to later split up and hunt alternative country.
