Once again, it’s time to set off for my annual summer stag mission with the boys. On this trip, we had Scott, (aka ‘The Kiwi Battler’), Hamish (‘Mr Piggles’) and me (‘The Bear’). For this year’s trip we decided to fly in to the head of the Robinson Range to hopefully get a nice stripped velvet stag while they were still out on the tops. The plan was for Hamish and me to be dropped at the head of the range while Scotty was to be taken two basins round. He’d hunt his way back toward us over two days; then we’d all hunt our way out covering as much of the range as we possibly could before beginning our journey back to the ute.
