Planning for a Spring Tahr Hunt

Like most red-blooded Kiwi hunters, I live for my yearly doses of the red stag Roar and the chamois and tahr rut. These, unfortunately, also bring the onset of winter and some very cold and bleak snowfalls. Don’t get me wrong … I personally think winter is a very productive hunting period – there are fewer people in the hills, you have a great opportunity of catching a cunning stag feeding up after the Roar and quite often run into wandering chamois bucks!
