Ever since I started hunting game birds some 16-odd years ago, I’ve always had an appreciation of Canada geese and the challenge they provide to successfully hunt them. Over the years, they’ve cost me thousands of dollars in gear, time and travel expenses while pursuing them over many areas of the South Island – something I don’t regret … it’s become a real passion! Of the game birds we have in New Zealand, they’re the hardest to hunt, requiring a lot of time and investment to be successful.
