The adventure started with the alarm going off at 4:30am on a drizzly Saturday morning – beats a Saturday sleep-in! Despite the forecast, we were up and out the door, truck packed for our drive of over an hour to the hunting spot of choice. Rain jackets were packed and the quad bike was on deck for ease of recovery.
Here in New Zealand, when it comes to big game hunting, we’re lucky that we’re able to hunt year-round on public land and target a number of different species.
