Scoping Areas with Trail Cameras

With spring on the horizon, deer will soon be starting to chase the spring flush from the river flats up to the tussock as the seasons progress. This presents a golden opportunity to get an easy deer and is also a great time to put a trail camera out to help you get a better idea of what animals are in the area and what times they’re moving about – you’ll also get to observe other behavioural traits. While you can only see the results when you go and check your camera – unless you have cell phone coverage and a camera that sends you the images directly – it can give you a better understanding of your quarry and help you plan your next trips more successfully. It also gives you another excuse to get into the bush and see what’s been kicking around your favourite spot … it’s like Christmastime checking your trail cameras!
