Fly fishing for some may just be a hobby, an excuse to get some time out from life and take a breath. But for others it can become a huge part of life and have a profound effect on how they live, where they live it and essentially, who they are.
There’s one area of fly fishing that gets vastly overlooked by anglers in favour of the usual nymphing, dry-fly fishing or fishing from a boat, and that’s a shore-based, sight-fishing style approach on any given lake that holds populations of smelt.
